All private screenings are now reserved. | Kaikki yksityisesitykset on nyt varattu.

Room 227 by Siiri Hänninen and Tara Valkonen is an installation in which the architecture is created with sound. One room becomes a part of a bigger complex – an imaginary building, where all the sporadic sounds amalgamate into a symphony.

Installaation esitys yhdelle tai kahdelle henkilölle kerrallaan etukäteisvarauksesta, seuraavina aikoina: klo 14:00, 14:45, 15:30, 16:15, 17:00, 17:45, 18:30, 19:15, 20:00, 20: 45

About artists:

Siiri Hänninen (b.1998) is a space and event designer from Helsinki. She comes from a musical family, which makes it natural for her to work with musicians. She started her master studies in architecture at Aalto University in September 2020 and will be studying in Rotterdam at the Independent School for the City for the spring 2021. Currently in her studies she investigates the possibilities of temporary use of vacant spaces.

Tara Jovana Valkonen (b.1999) is a Finnish musician, currently studying composition and cello at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki under the guidance of Lauri Kilpiö and Jaani Helander. At the age of 13 she picked up the guitar, and rock music (bands such as Led Zeppelin, The Who and Dire Straits) supplanted classical music at large, until a few years later when she first heard Messiaen’s Turangalila Symphony and developed an interest in contemporary music.
