Säveltäjä, kapellimestari ja Korvat auki -yhdistyksen perustajiin kuuluva Esa-Pekka Salonen viettää 60. syntymäpäiväänsä 30. 6. 2018.
Korvat auki -yhdistyksen Aukottoman seinän korvat -säveltäjäkollektiivin (Joel Järventausta, Touko Niemi, Matilda Seppälä, Lauri Supponen, Niilo Tarnanen) teos Massahumu avaa Helsingin juhlaviikot 17. elokuuta 2018. Massahumu on kunnianosoitus perustajajäsenellemme Esa-Pekka Saloselle tämän 60-vuotisjuhlakonsertissa. Osa teoksen tekstistä koostuu somessa lähetyistä onnitteluista.

Konsertin jälkeen juhlat jatkuvat synttäriklubilla Alminsalin lämpiössä. Tölöläbin ja Elifantreen muodostama superyhtye toimii house bändinä, ohjelmassa on Salosen soolokappaleita ja niiden innoittamaa vapaata kosmista tyyliä – sekä tietysti yllätysnumeroita. Klubille on vapaa pääsy.
Konsertti nähdään ja kuullaan suorana lähetyksenä Yle Teemalla, Yle Areenassa ja Yle Radio 1:ssä.

Composer, conductor and one of the founders of Korvat auki Society Esa-Pekka Salonen celebrates his 60th birthday 30. 6. 2018.
A new piece, Massahumu by the composer collective Ears of the Blind Wall (Joel Järventausta, Touko Niemi, Matilda Seppälä, Lauri Supponen, Niilo Tarnanen) of the Korvat auki society opens the Helsinki Festival 17 August 2018. Massahumu is a tribute to our founding member Esa-Pekka Salonen in his 60th birthday concert. Part of the text for the piece is gathered from messages from social media.

After the concert, the party continues with a birthday club in the foyer of Almi Hall. A super group composed of Tölöläb and Elifantree acts as the house band, with a programme including solo songs by Salonen and a free cosmic style inspired by them – and, of course, surprise numbers. Admission to the club is free.
